Distal Bicep Rupture Data for Cajunrider

I ruptured my right distal bicep tendon while pushing my utility trailer onto my driveway on 2/24/2012. Heard the loud pop when the tendon pulled off the bone. Went down to my knees in excrutiating pain. Nearly passed out and vomited. I've blown a knee and suffered kidney stones for several years and all were a walk in the park compared to how this felt. I had an MRI on 3/2 and surgery on 3/5/2012. I am in a full arm splint from shoulder to fingers with wrist and elbow imobilized. The splint will remain until 3/20 when the staples will be removed. After that, I'm hoping for a ROM brace and speedy recovery. I'm not expecting to ride my motorcycle until mid to late summer. This is my dominant arm and I am 57 years old. My surgeon is one of the best in the Southern US. I returned to work 2 days after surgery. My occupation is Maintenance Supervisor in a large natural gas processing facillity. Push plenty of paper and much computer work.
